I'm no poet but...

Michelle Malkin posted on her site a brief story about a poetry contest at:

Roses are red
Bees are swarming
We're all going to die from Global Warming

Her title was the best poem there. I found very few poems in the comment section so I thought I would make my own. Then I found that I could not add it because I don't have an account for her site. So I thought I would post it here.

AGW

Is this a contest that anyone can join?
Any chance of me winning some coin?

When I was a high-schooling,
We feared and we fret
The panic was global cooling.
MSM sure had us upset

But I must have slept through that little ice age
Main Stream Media has now changed the page

A consensus has been made by all who agree
Man caused this warming don’t you see?
Just ignore all of the scientists who do disagree
They are so disarming but their getting a fee

They all work for big bad oil
And cannot be trusted
Can’t they see we are all going to boil?
They ought to be busted

And his most excellent Gore
Jeez he’s such a bore
He takes the cake
and get’s right to the core
Wish a could stay awake
But he makes me snore

Now something should be said here about our Carbon foot print
But the only thing I can come up with is Bourbon and something not fit to print

Hey! This was fun
Can we do the next one on the 2nd Amendment and my favorite gun?

More Hyped Reporting

More sad fallout from the Domestic Violence on Christmas in Carnation. A women and her boy friend kill her parents, her brother and her brother's wife and their two young children. Apparently, a 911 call was attempted but not completed. Deputies were dispatched to check it out but they found the gate to the property locked. Their department is investigating why no further action was taken.

I read in a separate article that Domestic Violence calls are the most common calls on Christmas day. Man! How many bad ties can Aunt Bessie give out to cause so much trouble. Is that why the deputies had to leave because they were swamped? How many of the 911 calls taken that day were prank calls.

Then I read the article by King 5's Linda Brill with the headline:
No such demand is listed in the article. A surviving brother is quoted as saying that if he had been the deputy and that happened to him, he would retire. But no "demand" is listed. My opinion is that Ms. Brill is the only one with a "demand" and it's purpose is to sensationalize her article. I think we need to demand more accurate reporting from the Main Stream Media.

Ten GLOBAL Questions for WARMING Your Heart

Pat Sajak over at Human Events asks ten very good questions about Global Warming at

  1. What is the perfect temperature?
  2. What is the average temperature of the earth?
  3. What factors have led to global warming in the past, and how do we know they aren’t the causes of it now?
  4. Why is there such a strong effort to stifle discussion and dissent?
  5. Why are there such dramatically different warnings about the effects of man-made global warming?
  6. Are there potential benefits to global warming?
  7. Should such drastic changes in public policy be based on a “what if?” proposition?
  8. What will be the impact on the people of the world if we change the way we live based on man-made global warming concerns?
  9. How will we measure our successes?
  10. How has this movement gained such momentum?
His comments are worth reading so I recommend checking the article out. I would also want to ask "How is our Anthropogenic Global Warming causing the Martian ice caps to melt?"

Bottom line, these proverbial watermelons (Envy Green on the outside and Communist Red on the inside) just want the control. They may say it is for the environment, or even for the children but I don't think they truly care for either.

Ex-Officer Stops Homeschooler on Killing Sree at Mega Church started by Closet Homosexual

I don't get it. Earlier this week I heard that a homeschooler had killed several people at a mega church that had been started by a closet homosexual but was killed (the homeschooler, not the closet homo) by a security guard. Wait! No, that changed to he killed himself because the security guard was a police officer that had been fired ten years early for lying about yelling at a bus driver. Now it is hard to find anything real specifics in the major media.

There is more material from the local papers in Colorado but the big hype above was all I heard this week.

Bottom line: Jeanne Assam, a law abiding citizen with a right to carry a fire arm, stopped a killing spree. Even if the creep fired his own fatal shot, he clearly had not planned to stop that soon. Miss (or Ms?) Assam is a hero and she did the right thing. But I wonder:
  1. Why was the hero's past significant?
  2. Why was the past of the founder of the church significant?
  3. Why was the educational past of the killer significant? I don't think I have ever seen a report that said, "And the suspect was educated in a public school."
Just asking.

How UN-American

I knew it.

Global Warming Goals Revealed

You will be assimilated! We are the United Nations and we will UN-Americanize you. We will ruin, er..., I mean run your country. We know what's best for you. We ARE what is best for the US and everybody. First, we will take control of all energy because it pollutes and damages Mother Earth. Then we will take your money because you are polluters and cause damage to Mother Earth. And then the UN will build a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven, and we will make the UN a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Shopping Carts

Here's a "fine" bit of news

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The city of Beaverton could become the first in Oregon to use a new law that allows cities to fine retailers $50 for each shopping cart stores fail to retrieve.

Sounds like our food prices will go up - again.

Perhaps we will see the grocery stores place a rental fee on the carts. Another option would be for the stores to offer a finder's fee to those who return carts. That could even provide some employment for some idle youth in the neighborhood.

Still, it doesn't seem fair for the government to fine a business for the carts. Here they provide a basket to carry your groceries and some irresponsible lazy person fails to return it. So who do we penalize? The business of course.

Either way, I can feel my wallet getting thinner.
