Citizen!
It's only been 4 days but my taxes have not yet gone up. My mortgage hasn't been paid for me either. I am sure the former will occur. The later? Not before Hell freezes over (I'm sure lord Obama is working on that right now - as soon as he fixes the world's climate).
I wonder if there is any truth to the rumor of their changing the name of the country? The can't use "Obama-Nation" It sounds too much like that book from the darkside that ridiculed his highness before the election. May I suggest the United States of OBoma? We can replace USA with U.S.O.B. I'm sure I have heard some frenchman call us that anyway (I think he was french; he asked me to pardon his language).
A liberal co-worker asked me why I wasn't at home pouting the day after the elections. I told him that I was disappointed but my hope is not in any politician. My Hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

THREE PILLARS CONCEPT for FREEDOM
In our society there are at least three Pillars that uphold our Freedom over our heads.
SECURITY PILLAR
1. The quality or state of being secure as a: freedom from danger: safety b: freedom from fear or anxiety c: freedom from the prospect of being laid off. 2. a : something that secures :PROTECTION b {1}: measures taken to guard against espionage or sabotage, crime, attack, or escape {2} an organization or department whose task is security. One is the security forces Pillar comprising local police, state police and military forces of Navy, Army, Marines & Air Force.
DEMOCRACY PILLAR
Government by the people; rule of the majority
A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised
by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving
periodically held free elections. One is the governmental forces of local, state & federal agencies
that collect taxes and provides for services that a diverse public requires.
NEWSPAPERS PILLAR
The third and most important Pillar is the independent one that has oversight capabilities
with its investigating type reporting to inform the voting public of the conduct of the other
two pillars and make changes in their operation by collective voting.
The many hundreds of Independent newspapers publishing companies fulfill this duty.
Stepper's concept for the newspaper industry survival and to allow small business access to subscribers
in its immediate neighborhood for their survival is to elevate the delivery force to a more responsible position
in the newspaper chain by a franchise type operation. There is tremendous amount of untapped advertising
revenue in bite size portions in the smaller business concerns
WARNING! We can not afford to loose this PILLAR of FREEDOMto those forces with agendas of their own and
who motives are hidden behind veils of NEGLECT, GREED and INDIFFERENCE.
I don't know about your "society" but in MY Country, the USA, there are two foundational Pillars of Freedom encapsulated in the Bill of Rights.
On Security
We have no provision for security, especially from layoffs. How can you do that? If a business is failing, then the employees need to find a better job. Sometimes they need a push.
And why do you need security from "Escape?"
On Democracy
I believe in taxes for the common defense but that "services for a diverse public" can get pretty expensive. What ever happened to charity?
On Newspapers
We believe in freedom of speech and of the press but that doesn't mean we are limited to fish wrappers or bird cage liners.
